The water slide will a key part of the family fun day planned for Saturday, July 9, 2016, which is open to everyone wanting to celebrate the opening of the Archie Gooch Pavilion in Britten’s Field next to the Ilminster Recreation Ground and behind the medical centre in Canal Way.

But there are a number of terms and conditions.
One of the main conditions is that only people aged seven and above can have a go on the water slide, while participants must be in good health and not affected by medical problems such as heart, back or neck problems or have had recent operations which might be worsened by the experience.
Expectant mothers are not allowed to go on the slide, while organisers have said that anybody suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will be refused entry.
Other terms and conditions can be found on the website at https://www.dot-the-eye.com/Slide_Payment/ .
Organisers have said that the rules are for the safety and enjoyment of those taking part and to ensure that the water slide does not get damaged.
A club spokesman said it would be a fantastic day for the club and the Ilminster community.
