ILMINSTER NEWS: Memorial bench unveiled at Recreation Ground

SUPPORTERS of Ilminster Cricket Club gathered together at the weekend for the unveiling of a new memorial bench.
The ceremony took place on Saturday (June 4, 2016) at Ilminster Recreation Ground where the bench was unveiled in memory of Richard Crabb, Viv Joslyn, Billy Parsons and Pete Hurford – valued supporters and players of Ilminster Cricket Club.
It was a fitting tribute as there was a good turnout of people for the unveiling ceremony from family, friends and club supporters.
Club chairman Paul Knight, speaking on social media, said: “A massive thank you to everyone that turned out and supported the families at the presentation of the memorial bench. The families were overwhelmed by this.
“A big thank you to all the people that brought down refreshments and also the staff at Ilminster Cricket Club for their efforts.
“Ilminster is a great town and it proved just how good on Saturday.”
