ILMINSTER NEWS: International rock band heading to Herne Hill

PEOPLE are being advised not to worry if they see smoke coming from one of Ilminster’s most focal point landmarks on Saturday (May 28, 2016) evening as it will just be part of a music video being recorded by an international rock band.
Indie rock band Blujon have been given permission by Ilminster Town Council to use Herne Hill for the location of a music video.
The council’s clerk, Joy Norris, told members of Ilminster’s open spaces committee last night (Tuesday, May 25, 2016) that people need not worry if they suddenly think the trees on Herne Hill are on fire.
“There will be filming going on for a music video and the band will be using a smoke machine,” she said. “There will be no need for alarm if you see smoke coming from Herne Hill."
Blujon was originally formed in the early 1980s in Blackpool and many musicians have come and gone to get the band to its current international status where it is currently based in Luxembourg.
The band’s Facebook page describes their music as Indie Rock with Steampunk Tendencies.
The Rockers – Blujon’s supporters’ club – has passed the 4.5-million registered members.
