ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Shooting Update – Shotgun found by police

POLICE have confirmed this evening (Sunday, May 8, 2016) that a weapon has been found during the ongoing investigation into the murder of Wilfred Isaacs.
The weapon, believed to be a shotgun, will now be forensically examined by specialists.
“We are keeping an open mind as to whether this was the weapon used during the incident,” said a police spokesman.
“Our enquiries continue at the murder scene in Ilton and a policing presence is expected to remain there for the next few days.”
The spokesman added: “We would still appear for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us now on 999 quoting log number 1051 of May 5.
“Alternatively information can be given to Crimestoppers anonoymously on 0800-555-111.”
It was announced earlier today that Charlie Broadway, 23, and William (Billy) Broadway, 18, from Ilton, have been jointly charged with murder, attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Both have been remanded in custody and are due before Yeovil Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, May 9, 2016) morning.
The remaining five people arrested in connection with this incident – which happened on the evening of Thursday, May 5, 2016, near Ilton.
