ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Shooting Update – Charlie Broadway hands himself in

POLICE have announced that Charlie Broadway has handed himself into officers at a custody centre in Somerset and been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
The charges relate to the fatal shooting of a man near Ilton last night (Thursday, May 5, 2016) and wounding another man.
It sparked a widespread police hunt for Broadway, but it was earlier this afternoon when police announced that the 23-year-old had handed himself in. He now remains in custody.
Detective Superintendent Andy Bevan said: "I would like to thank each and every member of the public who have assisted us with this investigation.
"I would also like to extend my thanks to the media who publicised our appeal far and wide.”
