ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Vehicle fire near Westport

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night (Saturday, February 27, 2016) to deal with a vehicle fire on the road from Westport towards Puckington near Ilminster.

Officers found the vehicle to be well alight and quickly set about putting the fire out after they had been mobilised at just before 8pm.

“The vehicle was 80 per cent destroyed by fire,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.
