SOMERSET NEWS: General Election called for June 8
THE Prime Minister has announced that a General Election will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Theresa May PM made the shock announcement on Tuesday (April 18, 2017) at just after 11am.
It will mean the UK going to the polls on June 8 and here in Somerset there will be five constituencies up for grabs – Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater & West Somerset, Wells, and Somerton & Frome.
All five seats are currently held by the Conservatives.
