ILMINSTER NEWS: Vintage teapots needed for vintage tea

ORGANISER of a monthly charity vintage tea event in Ilminster is looking for extra teapots and cups.

Well-known Helena Jones has put out a request on social media for anyone who can help to please get in touch.

“I’m still looking for teapots for my vintage afternoons so if anybody has any or finds any in a charity shop – I would really appreciate it if you can think of me,” she said.

The vintage tea afternoons are being held on the first Sunday of each month and this month’s is being held on Sunday (March 5, 2017) at the Archie Gooch Pavilion off Canal Way in Ilminster from 1pm to 5pm.

The charity cream tea costs £5 per person and will include cakes, sandwiches, scones and unlimited tea and coffee.

All profits will go towards the Ilminster Girl Guides.

Helena has also asked if anyone would like to bake a cake for the cause – please bring it along to the Archie Gooch Pavilion on Sunday.
