ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Man rescued from floodwater

A MAN had to be rescued on Thursday (February 2, 2017) morning after getting stuck in their vehicle in floodwater near Ilminster.
The alarm was raised at just after 11am to the problem in Crock Street, Donyatt.
Two fire engines from Chard and Ilminster – along with a water rescue unit and support vehicle from Exmouth – were mobilised to the scene.
Officers donned dry suits and made their way out to the vehicle and rescued one man.
