SOMERSET NEWS: Christmas pudding destroyed in microwave fire

A CHRISTMAS pudding was completely destroyed after a microwave went up in flames at a Somerset home.
The alarm was raised at just before 5pm in Hardys Road, Bathpool, Taunton, and two fire engines from Taunton were mobilised on Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25, 2016).
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Once we arrived at the scene we got to work by removing the microwave to the open and put the fire out.
“The cause of the fire was accidental which resulted in the microwave being moderately damaged and a Christmas pudding being completely destroyed.”
