CHRISTMAS 2016: Elves on tour provide some festive cheer

TESCO staff at Ilminster went on tour on Friday (December 16, 2016) to present Christmas goodies to elderly residents in the town.
The community-spirited staff dressed as elves and delivered a whole stack of gifts to residents at Hazelwell Lodge Care Home in Station Road and the Vaughan Lee House in Orchard Vale.
Tesco Ilminster’s community champion, Helena Jones, said they had a brilliant time visiting the homes and giving the residents a laugh.
Gifts included books, gardening tools, teddy bears, bed socks, perfume sets, aftershave, jumpers, flowers and chocolates.
Helena said the money had been raised in the Tesco store and she would like to thank all the customers who donated to the cause.
