SOMERSET NEWS: Hospice charity box stolen by lowlife

A PUB landlady has been left disgusted after somebody stole a St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice charity box from her bar.
Jo Fuller, who runs the Black Horse pub in The Avenue, Yeovil, has described the offender as “lowlife.”
“Some lowlife has stolen the St Margaret’s Hospice charity box from the Black Horse,” she said on social media on Tuesday (December 13, 2016).
“Whoever it was has got to live with this and one day they might need help from St Margaret’s.”
Jo added: “It is the lowest of the low stealing a charity box.”
She said that St Margaret’s Hospice had helped so many people over the years and relied heavily on the support of fundraising.
“St Margaret’s looked after my dad ten years ago for the last six weeks of his life and he couldn’t have had better care,” she said. “Also, more recently, they supported my brother-in-law in the last stage of his life.”
Jo will now be looking at CCTV to see if she can identify the culprit.
“If anyone knows anything please let me know,” she said. “St Margaret’s has probably looked after someone we all know and I hope I find out who took this charity money.”
Jo told the Yeovil Press: “I am very annoyed about it as you can imagine. I’ve always supported St Margaret’s and will continue to do so.”
She said that she would be contacting the police about the theft.
Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
