ILMINSTER NEWS: It was all smiles for Timson v Fury at Alton Towers!

A TRIP to the Alton Towers theme park really did pack a punch for Ilminster man Kenny Timson when he bumped into heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury.
The 28-year-old British professional boxer was at the theme park last Saturday (October 15, 2016) relaxing just days after vacating the WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles following ongoing medical and personal issues and two cancellations of a rematch with former world champion Wladimir Klitschko.
But Ilminster’s Kenny, who was also enjoying a day out at Alton Towers with his family, was undaunted when he “bravely” went up and asked Fury, who stands 6ft 9ins tall, for a photo.
“He was fine,” said Kenny. “He had no problem about having a photo. I think I must have been one of the first people to have spotted him so I grabbed the chance of getting a picture with him.
“He is an absolute mountain of a man and he towered over me.”
