SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Human remains found in garden of Yeovil home

POLICE have confirmed that they have found human remains in the back garden of a home in Yeovil.
The police announced today (Monday, August 15, 2016) that enquiries in the St George’s area of Yeovil last week had led to the discovery following a tip-off that a stillborn child might be buried at the location.
Police have stressed that this incident is totally unconnected to the current tenant of the property.
“Further forensic tests will now be carried out,” said a police spokesman.
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with this matter and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support last week.”
But the police spokesman added: “As our enquiries are continuing, we would ask the public not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“We are continuing to work closely with the family concerned and helping them through this difficult time.”
