ILMINSTER NEWS: Motorbike destroyed in fire and Recreation Ground toilet block damaged
FIREFIGHTERS were called out early this morning (Sunday, July 10, 2016) after receiving numerous calls about a motorbike being on fire next to the toilet block at the Ilminster Recreation Ground.
The alarm was raised at 1.15am to the problem in Canal Way and a fire engine from Ilminster was mobilised.
A further two fire engines from Chard were also called out and firefighters found a motorbike to be well alight under the eaves of the toilet block in the play area at the Recreation Ground.
The motorbike was completely destroyed by fire, while the toilet block also suffered heat and smoke damage.
