ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Shooting Update – Police still look for murder weapon

THE firearm police believe was used in last night’s (Thursday, May 5, 2016) fatal shooting in South Somerset has still to be found.
Police announced earlier that they were still looking for the weapon which fatally killed a man and wounded another during a domestic incident near Ilton which is not far from Ilminster.
“The firearm we believe was used during the incident has not yet been recovered,” said a police spokesman. “Anyone with information on this is should call us now by calling 999 and quote log number 1051 of May 5.”
Charlie Broadway, 23, handed himself in to police earlier today and was charged with murder and attempted murder.
Information can also be left on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
