ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Chimney fire at Barrington
FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night (Friday, March 18, 2016) to deal with a chimney fire at a home in Barrington.
One fire engine from Ilminster and one from Martock were mobilised at just 7pm to the incident where officers confirmed a fire in the chimney.
There was extra concern with the property having a thatched roof, but thankfully the thatch was not involved.
Once the fire had been put out, officers checked the area with a thermal imaging camera just to make sure that everything was safe.
