SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Cat rescued from garage rafters

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this afternoon (Sunday, September 4, 2016) to rescue a cat which had got trapped within the roof rafters of a garage.
One fire engine from Somerton was mobilised at just after 1pm to the incident at a property in Holdens Way, Curry Rivel, near Langport.
The cat was rescued, but was not known to the property owners.
“It is not known how long the cat had been trapped,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
