CARNIVAL: £3,600 donated during Ilminster Carnival

ILMINSTER Carnival organisers have thanked everyone who donated to the collection during the procession on Saturday (October 7, 2017) night and helped to raise £3,600.

Perfect dry weather conditions encouraged more people to take to the streets to watch the wonderful Carnival weave its way through the town and with there being no rain in meant that the spectators could dig deep for the collecting floats and buckets rather than clutching on to umbrellas.

The Carnival committee would like to thank all the collectors and those who spent a lot of Sunday (October 8, 2017) counting out all the coins.

The collection was about £600 up on the previous year’s total.
